Of Standard Specification, 3 Blued Barrel bands inspector marked, the end one with sling swivle. (other swivle missing) Flat lock marked with Crown over “V.R” behind hammer of standard pattern. In front, “1862” over “ENFIELD” with other inspectors marks. Brass trigger guard, swivle missing. Brass butt plate with stampings “V / W1 / 444″on tang and later markings on flat of butt plate “VP 647 A”

Good full length Walnut stock with little or no damage except small repair to toe of butt, of some age. Overall length 55″. Sighted 39″ round barrel shows ordenance proofs and government inspectors marks with government sale/ out of service arrows. (cross-bar “v-notch” missing from ladder sight) “232” on barrel tang. Strong 3 grove rifling with little or no pitting with bright bore. Steel ramrod. Action in good working order & rifle in good condition.
