1827 Patt’ Naval Sword

Excellent 80cm Blade by Gieve & Son etched with scrolling foilage, Royal Arms crowned (KC) anchor- minor pitting. Regulation brass gothic hilt incorporating crowned (QVC) fouled anchor. Intact wire bound fishskin grip. The folding guard shows owners name, engraved, “H.G.H.Adams R.N.” Lions-head pommel. In its brass mounted black leather scabbard with makers crest on reverse of upper brass mount to match blade, and reverse of leather belt. Belt and Sword suspension straps all in good condition some origional gilt on naval buckle.

The complete outfit with matching makers name on belt, scabbard and blade with owners name on folding guard, a rare emsemble for any collection – all in fine condition.
