Serial number KD667 on top of round receiver, surmounted with Star and Arrow of the Russian Tula arsenal and date of 1944.  Caliber and proof markings on LHS of receiver, other single inspection marks on the RHS of the same.  The bolt has no stamped number but, does have the correct electro-pencilled number along the top surface.  This is mirrored on the underside of the magazine.  Bolt finished in the white showing Tula production stamps.  The balance of the carbine is finished in a well preserved blue which hardly shows any wear.  Even the sight, bayonet and muzzle show little use.  Two blued barrel bands and a steel blued butt-plate.  The cleaning rod, also blued is stored under the fore-end.

This carbine measures 40.1/4″ in overall length.  With the bayonet in position for use, the overall length becomes approx’ 52″.  Sprung fixing, folding cruciform bayonet with a tip which doubles as a screwdriver blade.  The blued cleaning rod measures 17.1/2″ long.  The round blued barrel is a nominal 20.1/2″ long and has an excellent four-grove bore with much life left in it.  The trigger pull to center is 13.1/2″.

Finger grooved stock with slots for canvass sling to pass through.  The stock also shows the correct cut-out for the folding bayonet end to be laid into.  The sliding ramp rear sights are graduated from 1 to 10 and the fore-sight is protected by a ring.  The muzzle shows high edge wear but that has probably occurred due to powder burn.  These carbines are notorious for producing great bursts of flame every time you pull the trigger, so be prepared for a slight kick in the shoulder, especially if you are not holding on tight!
