The Parade version of the Famous Kukri
Soldiers in the Gurkhas are issued with 2 of these when passed out. This is the “Number One” version which is kept in a highly polished state for Parade and special occassion use. The classic steel curved blade measure 10.1/2″ from point to brass fitting on handle. Heavy curved blade with sharp edge on the inside of the curve, the perfect shape for “chopping”.
Buffalo horn handle with flared pommel and brass cap. The handle has the classic ridge around the handle to aid grip as there is no guard. Overall length is approximately 15″ in total. It comes in its parade scabbard of black leather with a brass chape. It has the two pockets at the rear and contains the two small tool like knives. However, one is not a knife but a striker for fire starting. Belt loop to rear. A classic knife for any collector.
