Fine condition Model 1873 Winchester by Uberti

As expected a perfectly fine reproduction of the famous 1873 Winchester in very good condition.  Chambered in .44-40 wcf.  Serial number 34587 on the lower tang.  Case coloured action with the classic side-plates and blued loading latch, and blued sliding dut cover to the top of the action.  Blued loading lever, octagonal barrel and crescent moon butt-plate. All iconic Winchester features.

Buck-horn open rear sights with dovetailed front sight.  Blued hammer with serrated thumb piece for a sure grip when quietly cocking the rifle.  Tube magazine under.  The upper tang marked; “MOD 73. SPORTING RIFLE.  The top flat of the barrel marking infront of the rear sight; “A.UBERTI & C. GARDONE. ITALY.”  the RH top angled flat marked with the caliber; “CAL. 44/40” Excellent bore, strong rifling and clean.

These acurate representation of the classic cowboy era weapons were frequently used in the spagetti westerns which we all enjoyed so much as children.  Overall length 43.1/2″.  Octagonal barrel 24.1/4″.  Trigger “pull” 13″ to center. An octagonal barrel was a special feature back in the day.  Lever has the twisting locking lug.  Brass lifter contrasts nicely against coloured action. 2 piece Walnut stock.

The main idea with these reproductions, is that you can have all the fun of shooting an original, but without the worry of devaluing or even worse destroying an original piece. Condition, very good all over. Its difficult to find a way to mave any more fun !
