1895 Winchester in .30 US cal. s/n 34191 for 1901, Army issue .30-40 cal with 28″ round barrel, blue finish showing some wear typical to insertion into cavalry “Bucket” with walnut stock. Blade front sight, standard elevator rear sight. Accompanied by a Cody firearms Museum letter confirming configuration. This rifle was received by the Winchester warehouse on December 9th, 1901 and shipped the same day. The receiver is marked with the standard two line New Haven address. Straight grip stock with cresent steel buttplate.

Condition: Fine. Approximately 60-70% origional blue remains with some wear concentrated along the high points. The hammer still retains flashes of fine casehardening colour. The receiver also still retains 80% of original blue with scratches and small dings with a small area of deeper scratches on the right side of the forend. Freshly proofed in UK in 2007
