A good Marlin 1894 Model Lever Action Rifle
Chambered in .44 Rem’ Mag. Serial number 23125747. 37.1/2″ overall length. 20″ Round Barrel. Pull length to center 13.3/8″
Of standard Marlin specification with no cross bolt safety, half cock acting as safe. Thumb extension on hammer. Blued finish all over with “gold” trigger and walnut stocks.
Full length mag tube under barrel. Buck-horn rear sights and beaded blade front. Front sight hood A/F. “Marlin” rubberised butt pad to shoulder stock.
The barrel marked as follows on top; “THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CONN’ U.S.A. / MOD. 1894 – MICRO GROOVE BARREL CAL .44 REM MAG” London proofs for 2011. The receiver drilled for top scope mounts with the bolt ejecting to the RH side. A single barrel band and blued steel for-end cap.
The whole weapon in good to very good condition. The bore spotless. The muzzle showing no wear or losses. Minor losses to finish on high points and sharp edges. The action fine. Minor dings in wood work but generally in excellent condition.
A minor thining of the finish is present at the front of the bolt on the external surface.
