Superb Winchester ’61 .22 Rifle
s/n 308238 for 1962
.22 S.L. and L.R. calibers. 24″ round blued barrel. Excellent original blued finish throughout with American Walnut Stock and forend. The stock is a smooth pistol grip type with a plastic chequered Winchester marked butt-plate. 17 grove flat bottom slide fore-end. All the woodwork is in fine condition with no slpits or cracks and only the most minimal handling marks.
The front sight is fixed the rear being adjustable. The receiver is grooved for a scope mount. On the left side of the barrel is the Winchester address and trade mark followed by caliber at the breech. The bore is excellent.
This rifle is in fine condition with most of its original finish intact. The action is excellent, truely an example of a piece that has escaped the ravages of time.
British proofs have been applied on its arrival in early 2009 from the States.
