Brass Pin-Fire Pepperbox Pistol
Double action in good working order. Mainly of Brass Construction apart from Hammer, Trigger, loading gate and center-pin. Walnut chequered grips still in good condition.
Six shot cylinder with Birmingham proof marks in each flute. Sharp engraving all over of floral boarders and patterns. The cylinder is 1.7/8″ in length all bores in excellent condition – no pitting. On the cylinder face are the initials “J.S.”
On close inspection there is a stamping on the front right side of the frame which appears to read “LEPRF / R.? R.” Probably the makers mark which suggests, along with the weapons, style Belgian origins.
In good overall condition – the little corrosion there is is concentrated on the steel parts but is not serious.
