Remington New Model Police Revolver, Rimfire conversion….SOLD

Nice general overall even grey patina with colour thining on high spots. The Army revolvers baby brother, in total 10.1/2″ in length. The octagonal barrel 5.1/2″ long, engraved with “Patented Sep.14, 1858 March 17, 1863/ E.Remington & Sons,Ilion, New York U.S.A./ New Model” Rammer mounted beneath with cylinder release pin behind. The cylinder retains its conversion back plate (These are usually seperated from these items) The back plate and cylinder both retain the factory conversion ID number “624” There is minor damage to the cylinder on the outside, between two of the chambers where some small amount of corrosion has taken hold – picture available on request.

Brass trigger guard and good two piece wooden grips. Action and timing in good condition. A Rare addition to any revolver collection.
