A Forehand and Wandsworth .32 RimFire “TERROR” Revolver
Another stunning example of a personal protection weapon. This is the six-shot Forehand and Wandsworth, little .32 caliber rimfire revolver with the big name…..TERROR, seen along the top strap. This could quite easily be hidden about ones’ person – to be used at a moments notice, to defend yourself and give your assailant a nasty shock !
Excellent nickel finish, with only the slightest chips on edges – almost 100% intact. Only the cylinder shows any loss and that is only pin-prick corrosion. The hammer knurling remains sharp and the hammer itself retains its case colour hardened finish. The grips are protected by their original varnish finish and are of rosewood. On very close inspection – on the left side at the top of the grip, there is a very small patch of deterioration. Next to that, and only caught in the right light, it is possible to see initials scratched into the surface of the grip it looks like “A D V”
The cylinder is numbered to the gun. Serial number on bottom of strap 985. The barrel is only 2.1/2″ long and has the full makers name on the side along with patent dates. “FOREHAND & WADSWORTH WORCESTER.MASS.US” Its a good job nobody else joined them because they wouldnt’ have had room on the barrel for all their names! The action is mechanically excellent. The bore has sharp rifling with the lightest of misting and pin-prick dark patches.
