A Fine Webley / Bentley Type 5-Shot Percussion Revolver

70 Bore. The bore pitted but with strong rifling showing little or no use. The chamber are clean and almost completely free of any corrosion. The percussion nipples on the rear of the cylinder have had little use and are in fine condition. The cylinder being marked with Birmingham proof marks.

The open frame is in good condition but shows some loss of finish on the right hand side. The hammer is in the bright as is the loading lever and trigger. The plain hexagonal 5″ barrel retains about 85% of its original blued finish, with Birmingham proofs on the lower flat. The grips are walnut and chequered with a plain butt cap. The barrel is sighted with rear sight upon the rear frame.

Double action with correct timing in good working order. There is a saftey spring on the left of the frame whic also holds the hammer back whilst reloading.

A fine solidly built functional English revolver in good working order and condition with no refinishing. Trigger guard slightly mis-shapen but so not as to interfere  with function.
