Of standard production features.  Made by Henry Wilkinson, number 46665 for the period 1914 to 1917. Strong three bar hilt with fish-skin grip bound by three strands of twisted silvered wire.  The blade is a single fullered bright blade of approx 35″ in length.  Double edged at the point.  The blade is marked with the standard “H.W.” pressed brass disk at the ricasso.  The blade is marked half way up with the usual thunderbolts and lightning design associated with the Artillery.  There is also the image of a cannon with latin inscription and the later royal coat of arms.  The steel scabbard has its silvered throat and two hanging rings.  At the base is a reinforced drag.  The sword is in generally good condition and shows wear which would be correct for its age.
