Fine 1894 Winchester Lever Action Rifle in .32-40 cal

A nice example of the Classic 1894 Rifle. Serial number 170698 which indicates manufacture in 1898. The overall impression on seeing this piece is the pleasing patina covering the stock and forearm and the complete lack of “tampering” on the metalwork leaving a nice finish fading to grey over the majority of the action, barrel and cocking lever. There are some small dents in the metal about the action and bolt, but nothing that deducts from the overall finish.

26″ Round barrel with a good “Marbles” front and rear sight and full length magazine. 13″ straight stock with crescent steelbutt plate. The stock has a superb smooth patina, as does the foreend. The model designation and patent dates are clearly visible on the upper tang. The action works well and the bore is fair to good.
